What an awesome day! Our day of "Dancing with Excellence" was more than a success....it was "unvocabularable". We prayed and anticipated great things on this day of impartation and God moved greatly--from the opening of the workshop until the closing of Praise Fest. We sincerely thank anyone who had any association with this magnificent day for God. Whether you helped hands on or attended the events, we appreciate you. It took all of us to make this day a success and we know that God is glorified through His children. Continue to strive for excellence and greater things in Christ. We love you all!

The Manifestation of the Vision

The vision for 2006 has been to use our ministry gifts to train, educate, and inspire others. We desired this year to teach and share with others the skills and knowledge necessary to develop effective dance ministries. God has abundantly blessed our ministry, provided amazing opportunities, and blessed us with a wealth of knowledge, and we want to share it with the world. It is just April and God has already gone beyond our expectations. We will be guest ministers and our leader, Andrea Phillips, will be a guest instructor at four worskhops from now through the summer. We are also hosting our own worshop in June themed "Dancing with Excellence". You can learn more about this workshop by clicking here. As well as these opportunities, we are still dancing Praise & Worship, as well as home and away dancing engagments. We thank God for the manifestation of our vision and the elevation of this ministry, and we look forward to our next level of ministry.

The Vision for 2006

Our continued ministry vision is to see dance restored in the church and to use our ministry gifts to teach and inspire others. This is a year of training for our ministry. In 2006, we desire to host more workshops and use our gifts to aid other dance ministries in developing and maintaining solid, biblicaly aligned dance ministries. Also this year we will be doing more extensive training within the ministry. Be on the lookout for upcoming events. During this year, the Ebenezer Praise Dancers will also continue to minister during Praise & Worship, home and local functions, and other invitations by request. Please pray for the continued growth and elevation of our ministry.

The workshop is complete. We had an awesome time. Attendance was not as high as we expected, but we were blessed to have visitors from distances to come fellowship and learn with us. The vision for this workshop initially occurred after years of seeing the need in our local area for proper training in the fundamentals and spiritual principals of liturgical dancing, although only a couple of our participants were from the local area. Why do you think that although most local churches have voiced the desire to have a dance ministry established or to revamp their current one, they did not attend this or other training that could bless their ministry?

We're Back!!!
It has been a over a month since I last posted a message. That speaks volumes about my schedule since school has started back...need I say BUSY. I wanted to let everyone know that in less than two weeks I should be distributing information about an upcoming workshop that the Ebenezer Praise Dancers will be hosting. I am excited, and a little nervous, because this is our first venture of this type. I figure if we can pull off Praise Fest(which tends to be a busy/hectic day) and an out of state trip, we should be able to handle this...especially since God gave the vision for all of it. And I do know that if God gives the vision, He will also provide the methods and resources to see it to fruition. Continue to pray for our ministry and keep up encouraged as we prepare to share our gift with others. Be abundantly blessed.

More Words of Encouragement

I was just reading an article on BlackGospel.com. Christopher Heron of Black Gospel interviewed the Anointed Chenaniah Praise Dancers regarding the purpose of their upcoming conference. The words spoken mirrored my sentiments from earlier and I wanted to share them with everyone.

"...awaken dancers with the reality that they are ministers, first. And that they should dance with the authority of the One that called them into this ministry. This will require a relationship. We want them to know that the dance ministry is not a club. You must be holy. In order to dance with power, it requires a praise and worship lifestyle."

Words of Encouragement

As dance ministers, we must always be cautious and aware of our actions. Dancing is a visual ministry so people are drawn to watch our actions more so than listening to our verbage(what we say). Unlike singing in the choir, people are prompted to watch your actions(even when you are not at the front of the church ministering) to interpret who you are or what you are really about. So it is very important that you live a lifestyle worthy of your calling in order to be able to effectively minister to others. It will be difficult for someone to believe you when expressing the Word of God with your body, if they have watched you do otherwise. Therefore, I encourage all dancers, and anyone that has a call upon your life, to live a life that is pleasing unto our Master and that may be worthy of emulation by other Christians. Be blessed. The beginning
I am excited about the launch of this new ministry tool. This should be a much easier way for the members of the dance ministry as well as other supporters to stay informed. There will also be words of encouragement, and prayerfully this may be an inspiration to other ministries. Be abundantly blessed and keep checking back for updates.
