The Ebenezer Praise Dancers is a ministry that developed out of sincere passion for the Lord and dance. This ministry was founded by Andrea Phillips in the first week of December in 2001, after God gave her the vision during a Gospel fest to put her love for dance into ministry for Him. The ministry started with seven girls committed to ministering at special functions. These young ladies have been very diligent and committed to what they do. They spend many weekend hours rehearsing and traveling to various churches and functions across North Carolina, as well as the eastern and southern United States.

In January of 2007, the ministry expanded and grew to over twenty dancers, with three distinct sub-ministries. The ministry, Ebenezer Praise Dancers, now consists of “Petite Praisers”, “Sanctuary Dancers”, and "Divine Expressions," the original group. The “Petite Praisers” are a special events group consisting of young ladies ages four to ten. The “Sanctuary Dancers” are our Praise and Worship group that has been ministering since the beginning of 2005 that expanded in 2007 to include more seasoned ladies. The original group, "Divine Expressions," consisting of young ladies ages eleven to adult, continues to minister frequently at local and distant church and community functions. In the spring of 2008, the ministry expanded even further to include "Divine Expressions Mime." This year the ministry has also added a male mime ministry.

Andrea Phillips, the founder, leader, and visionary of the Ebenezer Praise Dancers, combines many different elements of professional dance, along with the divine revelations of the Holy Spirit to create movement to a variety of song types to reach the souls of many. These young ladies will encourage and bless your spirit with the Word of God through dance.

The Ebenezer Praise Dancers are a part of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, located at 209 South Carey Street, LaGrange, North Carolina, where our pastor is, the distinguished Moderator, Rev. Dr. Michael A. Johnson.
